Salesforce just moved the CRM into Claude.
AIforce, Claudeforce and Agentforce Coworker all point the same way: the agent is no longer something you open inside Salesforce. Salesforce is something your agent opens.
The number: 100,000 users activated Agentforce Coworker in its first 35 days.
What happened
At Dreamforce on 15 September, Salesforce announced AIforce, which it calls a "live interface layer" that brings Salesforce data, workflows and permissions into Claude, Slack and Lightning, with Zero Data Retention. More than 50,000 people attended in person.
Three weeks earlier, on 26 August, Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce: a Salesforce plugin for Claude with 37 prebuilt sales skills, with an open beta expected in September. Claude also becomes the reasoning model inside Agentforce and the default model in Slack.
The adoption number to note: Salesforce says 100,000 users activated Agentforce Coworker within its first 35 days.

What it means for operators
When the interface moves out of Lightning, the parts of Salesforce that stay put matter more: the data model, the sharing rules and the permission sets. Those now decide what a sales skill running in Claude can see and do. That work belongs to the Agentforce Architect, not the UI.
Prebuilt skills also compete with the custom Flows many teams have spent two years building. Expect the next round of Agentforce work to be as much about retiring things as building them.

- Audit which permission sets a user carries into Claude before the beta reaches your org.
- List the custom Flows that overlap with the 37 prebuilt sales skills, and decide which ones you keep.
- If you run Slack-first teams, re-test your prompts now that Claude is the default model there.
